19th Burns Night in Vilnius will be held on Saturday, January 27th yet again in the most prestigious venue of Vilnius – Palace of the Grand Dukes with seating capacity for 300 guests.
What is Burns Night
Each year around January 25th, Scots around the world gather to celebrate the birthday of the Scottish national poet, Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) and raise for the charities. Vilnius is not an exception. Started in 2000 by the BCCL, Burns Night has soon become the most popular annual charity event, each year attended by 300 guests, who are CEOs of Lithuanian, British and International companies, members of Lithuanian Government, diplomats and guests from Scotland and England. The event also receives coverage in the national press. Through all those years, Burns Night in Vilnius raised 80.000 EUR shared by 22 different children and youth organizations in Lithuania as part of BCCL’s CSR objectives.
