BCCL invites to attend The International Business Festival in Liverpool on June 11-13

May 3, 2018

BCCL in partnership with COBCOE (Council of the British Chamber of Commerce in Europe), is promoting the world’s biggest business event in the UK – The International Business Festival in Liverpool 2018  to take place from 12-28 June and held at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

BCCL is organising a delegation of members to participate and will be able to assist with questions relating this event. If interested, please read carefully information below and register no later than May 16th.

International Business Festival Liverpool – what is it?

The International Business Festival is held every 2 years and will be delivered in partnership with the UK government through the Department for International Trade and supported by the patron, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge. Since its beginning in 2014, it has attracted more than 30,000 delegates from over 100 countries and facilitated more than USD 750m of additional trade and investment for the UK and international companies.

Held across nine days over three weeks, the Festival connects globally ambitious businesses with influencers, innovators and industry leaders. It offers 50 major events. 9 high-growth industry themes. 200 world-class speakers. The event gives businesses access to space, support and expertise they need to take the next step – whether that’s scaling up, building better supply chains or exploring new export markets.

BCCL is organising a delegation to attend on June 11-13

Having analysed the scale of the whole event, we decided to focus on June 12th – the opening day of the festival with COBCOE Conference “We need to talk about…The Global Future of Business”.

The conference is bringing together businesses and delegates from the British Chambers of Commerce in the UK and Europe, where a broad range of essential topics will be covered:

  • What the desired Brexit agreement will look like;
  • Changes to supply chains and changes to the way we work brought about by new trade relationships, new technologies and the rise of Central Eastern Europe;
  • Government strategies to promote skills, productivity, FDI and UK-EU trade after Brexit;
  • How UK and European businesses can compete in fast-changing global markets.
  • The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for international networking with business representatives who will be attending from across the COBCOE network and beyond.

On the same day, there will be plenty of alternative business activities going on in the same building, providing extra opportunities to attend the Festival’s knowledge hub (with discussion including doing business in China, trading Internationally, etc.), UK Innovation hub and others, to meet other International business delegates.
