Meet the 20th Burns Night Charity Beneficiaries

We are pleased to inform that two Burns’ Night ’20 Charity beneficiaries have been selected and approved by the BCC Board.
The availability to purchase charity raffle tickets will be announced soon: via app, at the office and to all the guests during the supper.

The charity initiative “Happimess” supports children who are suffering with oncological diseases. “Happimess” is also the name of the first charity shop for children in Lithuania.

”Happimess” activities include: Publishing a book for children about oncological illness; Helping Vilnius’s Santaros hospital department of oncology to improve conditions for treatment; Improving living conditions for the immediate families; Visiting children at Santaros hospital, and organising and conducting workshops with volunteers, known artists & designers; Organising Charity events for children in Vilnius; Participating at Vilnius city fairs; Organising and conducting workshops with volunteers, known artists & designers at the “Happimess” charity shop.

Funds raised at the 20th Burns Night in Vilnius will be used for the translation of the book about oncological illness into English.


Youth Line (‘Jaunimo linija’) is a hotline run by volunteers providing emotional support to young people.

Youth Line objectives: at least 80 percent of young people (from the ages of 16-30) believe that this hotline can help them when facing emotional difficulties, Youth Line volunteers answer 90 per cent of telephone calls and internet messages, Youth Line provides high -quality emotional support, at least 90 per cent of their volunteers evaluate their performance and experience in the organization positively.

Funds raised at 20th Burns Night in Vilnius will be used to fully train and prepare at least 6 new volunteers. (1 volunteer costs 650 EUR to train).
